Cibodas Botanical Gardens


Cibodas Botanical Gardens or Forest Park (Botanic Garden), located in Mount Gede Pangrango Forest Complex, Village Cimacan, Pacet, Cianjur. Field topography is hilly and undulating with an altitude of 1275 m above sea level, air temperature 17-27 degrees Celsius. This garden was founded in 1862 by Johannes Elias Teysjmann as a branch of the Bogor Botanical Gardens on location at the foot of Mount Gede. With 2380 mm of rainfall per year and temperatures average 18 degrees Celsius, this botanical garden is devoted to the collection of upland wet tropical plants, such as a variety of conifers and ferns.
Botanic Garden which covers about 80 hectares located at the foot of Mount Gede-Pangrango has long been known as a tourist destination that is very interesting. In fact, there is the nickname the Garden of Eden in Asia.

The beauty of Cibodas Botanical Garden is supported by a collection of trees. Here the stored collection of hundreds of trees both old and young trees. Recorded 5831 sample of 1206 species of plants live here.

Cibodas Botanical Gardens which is the gateway to the mountain climbers who want to climb Mount Gede visited no fewer than 400,000 people. Some sites of interest visitors include the greenhouse (green house), Jalan Araucaria (auracarua Avenue), Waterfall Cibodas and location of the landscape along the fountain.
Facilities
